The historical Mustard Mill has been an independent, family-owned Burgundy company since 1840. While it has outstanding production facilities, it has also maintained the expertise of the artisan mustard maker.
Eager to fully satisfy the strictest quality and food safety requirements, that Mustard Mill decided to pursue an accreditation process in this area. Having enjoyed a great deal of success with its museum area, La Moutarderie has decided to open the doors of its current production site to the public !
Using a revolutionary staging method, together with highly sophisticated visual, sound and sensory media, at last you will be able to discover for yourself all the steps involved in transforming the wild mustard seed: from the storage silo right up to packaging the end product.
While La Moutarderie has been able to preserve its traditional and ancestral manufacturing methods, which involve grinding the seeds with a millstone, it is with pride that we now invite you to come and discover totally new experiences and sensations at a venue which truly befits the 21st century !
